Since this conference aims to cover both technological and non-technological issues related to e-Commerce, e-Administration, e-Society, and e-Education, no matter the paper belonging to theory, empiric, application, or case study are all welcomed.

(FAQ 02)Who will review the papers submitted to this conference?
All submission to international Conference on e-CASE 2007 will be blindly reviewed by two independent peers.

(FAQ 03) When will we expect to hear the review results?
Notification of acceptance/rejection will be sent to you immediately after the end of April.
  2. REGISTRATION

(FAQ 04) Who can be contacted when I have a problem about registration?
Regarding any registration problems, please feel free to contact the conference treasurer, Dr. Ta-Wei Hung, via the email account: twhung@mail.usc.edu.tw.

(FAQ 05) Could the conference give me some subsidy, financial sponsor or registration fee discount?
All conference participants, including conference chairs, advisors, committee members, and session chairs have to pay the registration fee. Registration fee is used to cover all conference operation cost. As you know, it is expensive to hold an international conference in a five-star luxury hotel, and maintain quality service to all participants and invited quests.

(FAQ 06) If I submit two papers (one is single authored and another is co-authored) to this conference, how much I need to pay?

No matter the paper is a single authored or co-authored, if you like to have the paper published in the proceedings, you need to pay registration fee US$300 for each paper before May 31, 2007 or US$350 after May 31, 2007 .

However, in case that the paper is co-authored and more than one author would like to participant in the conference, each participant needs to make registration and pay the registration fee separately. (US$300 before May 31, 2007 or US$350 after May 31, 2007 )

Notably, every registered participant (no matter he/she is single paper author, multiple paper author, or just pure participant) will get one set of conference package, which covers all conference sessions, four coffee breaks, one year (two issues) International Journal of Business and Information (IJBI) and a copy of conference proceedings in CD-ROM format.

(FAQ 07) If I wish to submit three papers (two are single authored and one is co-authored) to the conference, how much I need to pay in this case?

No matter you are a single author, main author, or co-author, if you would like to have the paper published in the proceedings, you need to pay registration fee US$300 for each paper before May 31, 2007 or US$350 after May 31, 2007.

Therefore, if you have three papers, you can either register three papers or register two papers and invite another author to register the other one. In the first case, the first three papers should be registered by one author. In the later case, there are two papers will be registered by you and the remaining one will be registered by the other author.

However, please just do the registration and pay the registration fee for each paper, respectively.

(FAQ 08)How to send the registration fee to the conference?

Two methods are available for your registration payment:

(1) Telegraphic Transfer (T.T.), transfer money by bank;

(2) Paypal Online Credit Card Payment (C.C.).

Details are available in the website http://www.knowledgetaiwan.org/eCASE2007 (please click “Registration?button).

For any problems regarding your registration, please feel free to contact the conference treasurer, Dr. Ta-Wei Hung (email: twhung@mail.usc.edu.tw).

(FAQ 09) US $ 300 covers all conference sessions, four coffee breaks and a copy of conference proceedings in CD ROM. So, will the CD ROM be given to us in advance or on the spot?
CD ROM will be available on the conference site.

(FAQ 10) I have submitted a paper to e-CASE 2007. Can I participate in the conference without oral presentation?
Yes, when you fill out your registration information, please choose the radio button of Poster Session/ No Oral Presentation Session. However, the registration fee is the same, US$300 per person if you register before May 31, 2007 and US$350 after May 31, 2006 .

(FAQ 11) I did not submit any papers to the conference. Can I still participate in the conference?
Yes, when you fill out your registration information, please leave the Paper ID blank and the registration fee is US$300 if you register before May 31, 2007 and US$350 after May 31, 2007 .

3. FINAL SUBMISSION AND PROCEEDINGS

(FAQ 12) The acceptance letter states that I have to send the final version of my paper to the conference. Why do I need to do that? I have already sent the conference my full paper when I submit my manuscript.

After receiving the acceptance letter, you still have an opportunity proofreading your paper and making a necessary revisal. That is, it is the last chance to modify your manuscript. After final submission, your manuscript can no longer be changed. Notably, when you submit your final version of the paper, you can choose to publish either abstract or full paper in proceedings. The deadline for Author Registration and Camera-ready papers is May 30, 2007 .

Anyway, if authors do not submit their final version of their manuscripts, the initial submission manuscripts will be used for the conference proceedings. That is, May 31, 2007 is the last date to update or revise the manuscripts. Thereafter, the conference proceedings will be finalized.

(FAQ 13) If I send you a full paper and it is accepted, can I just have the abstract published in the proceedings? Or if a full paper is sent to you and it is accepted, the full paper has to be included in the proceedings? And if I just want to get an abstract published, can I just submit an abstract? Please clarify it.
We respect the choice made by the author(s). As we know some authors hope to participant in the conference and share their latest research results in oral presentation, but do not want their full papers to be appeared in the proceedings. In this case, these authors may choose to only publish their abstracts in the proceedings. To sum up, you can publish abstract or full paper in proceedings subject to your choice. What you upload in "final submission" is what you get published in the proceedings.

(FAQ 14)Will each accepted paper be published in full, or will some only be published in abstract form?
It is authors' right to decide to publish the full paper(s) or abstract(s) in the e-CASE 2007 proceedings (CD-ROM). What you upload in "final submission" is what you get published in proceedings.

(FAQ 15) I'd like to know if an abstract or the full paper should be submitted. If both are acceptable, may I know the required length of the abstract?
Both abstract and the full paper are acceptable for submission. Please provide one to three pages' extended abstract if you choose to submit abstract rather than full paper.

(FAQ 16) What is the maximum length of the manuscript for this conference?
There is no limitation for the length of manuscript for the conference proceedings, since the proceedings are printed in the CD-ROM.

(FAQ 17) I am planning to publish the abstract in the conference proceedings. Is there any format requirement for the abstract?
Please follow the format of full paper. But the max length is one to two pages for abstract.

(FAQ 18) What is the format that my manuscript should follow?

Manuscripts must be prepared using Microsoft Word. The conference follows the format of Academy of Management Journal . This format is available at the AMJ's website http://aom.pace.edu/amjnew/style_guide.html. Guidelines and sample pages are available on the conference website. In general, the paper must be prepared the way you want it to appear in the proceedings.

Please follow the sample in e-CASE 2007 website, in case there is any conflict between the format of e-CASE 2007 and that of AMJ.

(FAQ 19) Meaning of Camera Ready Paper.
The manuscript that you choose to publish in proceedings is called Camera Ready, since we do not make any modification on it. You must follow the format available on the conference website to prepare your manuscript to be Camera Ready.

(FAQ 20)Can we change the author priority and contact address after submission.
Yes, you can change the author priority when you make your final submission (Camera Ready Paper).

(FAQ 22) I have submitted a paper to e-CASE 2007. Can I participate in the conference without oral presentation?

Those journals will be published in hardcopy. They are available for sale. The annual subscription rate for each journal is US$200.00 for institutions and US$150.00 for individuals, which includes airmail postage for all destinations. All e-CASE 2007 conference registered participants will receive one-year IJBI.

(FAQ 29) I am planning to publish the abstract in the conference proceedings and the full paper in other journal such as IJBI. So I need to email you both abstract and the full paper by May 31.
You need to follow the IJBI submission procedure to submit your manuscript(s). You should include the paper ID of e-CASE 2007 conference when submission. You can submission the manuscript at anytime you want. Some participants prefer to submit after the conference. Some prefer to submit it before the conference. It's up to you. May 31 is only the deadline for e-CASE 2007 rather than IJBI.

(FAQ 30) Will we get the hard copy of IJBI journal during e-CASE 2007 or it will be courier to us later?
IJBI journal will be sent to you via mail.
