Author Guidelines

Please submit your manuscript with clear format which is an important criterion for publication in IJBI. Following are guidelines for submitting papers:

1.To provide comprehensive and in-depth understanding of business and IT/IS, IJBI not restricts article length. However, conciseness is valued. The paper should be double-spaced typed in font size 12, not including figures and tables.
2.Provide an abstract (less than 200 words) and 4-5 keywords.
3.After the abstract and keywords, provide author biographies (about 75 words each).
4.Sections should be decimally numbered and headings should be brief and specific.
5.Figures and Tables should be numbered consecutively and have self-explanatory captions.
6.All illustrations, whether figures or tables, should be placed at the end of the paper rather than incorporated into the text.
7.Short notes can be incorporated in the text in square brackets, but please avoid excessive use of footnotes.
8.References should be listed alphabetically and should only be made where there is a direct and important interface. References should be alphabetized by the last name of the author (the first author) or by the name of the corporate author (e.g., Italy Census Bureau) or periodical (e.g., Wall Street Journal) in cases where there is no individual author.
9.Several works by the same author should be ordered by year of publication, with the earliest listed first. If the years of publication are also the same, differentiate entries by adding small letters (“a”, “b”, etc.) after the years. Journal names should be written out in full. Please use full names of the authors in the reference list.
10.Following are examples:
Karahanna, E., Straub, D. W., and Chervany, N. L. 1999. Information Technology Adoption Across Time: A Cross-Sectional Comparison of Pre-Adoption and Post-Adoption Beliefs, MIS Quarterly 23(2) 183-213.

Submission Preparation Checklist

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. All URL addresses in the text (e.g., http://pkp.sfu.ca) are activated and ready to click.
  4. The text is double-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. The text, if submitted to a peer-reviewed section (e.g., Articles), has had the authors' names removed.
